Packing case design pays homage to Citroën H Van’s crinkly features

Northern Corrugated Van

The distinctive corrugated bodywork of the Citroën H Van – of which nearly 500,000 were made between 1947 and 1981 – was inspired by the German Junkers aircraft of the 1930’s, the ribbed construction adding strength without adding weight.

In twenty-first century UK the characterful Citroën H Van remains keenly sought-after by classic vehicle collectors. Many have been converted to right hand drive, earning their keep as promotional delivery vehicles.

One such is operated by Northern Corrugated Cartons out of the company’s Middlewich, Bradford and Newton Aycliffe factories.

NAK’s ‘packing case’ design perfectly complements the Citroën H Van’s crinkly good looks – just the job for a manufacturer of pallets and cardboard boxes!
